Letter from President

Hello,

I would like to welcome you to the Mentoring in Medicine (MIM) website. MIM was founded by three physicians and an educator in March 2006 out of love for people and our profession. We wanted to honor those heroes who helped us succeed and on whose shoulders we now stand. We firmly believe that the way to address health care disparities is to help increase the diversity of the health care workforce.

We work in disadvantaged areas with students from 3rd grade through health professional schools. We ignite an interest in the health professions. We prepare students to become competitive applicants to and graduates from health professional schools. We introduce students to health professional role models.
